潭舊名大埤，俗稱「大陂湖」，為昔日「蘭陽十二勝」之一，位於礁溪龍潭村，
距離宜蘭市區約6公里，交通便利。
此湖三面環山，面積約 17 公頃，湖面遼闊，水深4.5丈，
是宜蘭五大名湖中面積最大者。
湖區仍保留了原始自然的風味，循著環湖道路悠然漫步，只見兩旁綠樹垂蔭，
蝴蝶翩翩飛舞，偶而幾隻鷺鷥掠過湖面，為寧靜的山光水色增添不少美感！
自台北北宜公路(台9) 開始行駛右轉至台9約13.2 公里
→繼續直走至中正路走中正路 約 2.03
公里→右轉 至 德陽路約1.59 公里
→繼續直走至宜2約1.27 公里
→走約3.92 公里右轉到達目的地龍潭湖

22.02 公里
從宜蘭市至龍潭,車程約10分鐘,行至大坡路再右轉直行,然後再右轉宜五之三號公路
